GET ON-SITE EXPERIENCE WORKING ACROSS A LOCAL SPORTS ORGANIZATION FOR ELEVEN (11) WEEKS THIS SUMMER
(Fellowship On-Site Summer: May 2025 - August 2025)
INTERACT WITH EXECUTIVES AND EXPLORE FIFTEEN (15) LOCAL SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS
BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH MORE THAN A HUNDRED (100+) LOCAL SPORTS INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS
RECEIVE THIRTY (30) HOURS OF CAREER READINESS AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING + $6,000 STIPEND
DEMONSTRATE YOUR LEADERSHIP AND GENEROSITY BY GIVING BACK TO THE CHARLOTTE COMMUNITY BY FACILITATING A CHARLOTTE SPORTS BIZ SEMINAR FOR LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS IN 2026
(Fellowship Seminar Planning: September 2025 - February 2026)
The criterion for fellowship recipients is as follows:
1) Fellows must represent a Charlotte area university as an undergraduate student for example: Belmont Abbey College, Johnson & Wales University, Johnson C. Smith University, Davidson College, Queens University, Winthrop University, Wingate University, University of Charlotte, CPCC // OR have been a graduate of a Charlotte-Area High School.
NOTE: Fellows are required to live locally in Charlotte, NC. SBC is not able to provide any housing support or relocation. There is no possibility for remote or hybrid opportunities.
2) Fellows identify as being part of an underrepresented group including:
Identifying as a member of a BIPOC community
Identifying as Female
Identifying as a member of the LGBTQ+ community
3) Preference will be given to students closest to graduation -- members of the Class of 2025 and/or 2026.
4) Fellows may be asked to demonstrate their financial need
